The end of this 2009-10 Season marks the completion of my 30th consecutive year as a member of The Choral Arts Society of Washington. I couldn’t let this important milestone in my life go by without sharing it with you and expressing my great appreciation for the amazing experiences, both musical and personal, that being a part of this special community has given me over these many years....

In these tough economic times, when there are those who feel that the arts are somehow an“extra” and therefore expendable, all of us who love and perform in artistic endeavors feel the brunt of the downturn in significant ways. Luckily Choral Arts is blessed with creative staff members who are comfortable thinking “outside the box.” And the silver lining is that we’re finishing up a spectacular season of budget-minded concerts....
