The Choral Arts Society of Washington, under the leadership of its founder and artistic director, Norman Scribner, is one of the major symphonic choruses in the country. Consisting of 190 magnificent voices, Choral Arts has performed with the world’s leading conductors and symphony orchestras, recorded a number of acclaimed recordings, toured internationally, and performs for many nationally televised programs including "A Capital Fourth” and “The Kennedy Center Honors." The Choral Arts Society presents its own subscription series at the Kennedy Center, performing virtually the entire choral repertoire in addition to local and world premieres.
